If you’re a literary fan, you can now stay at Jazz Age celebrities F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald’s former house in Montgomery, Alabama, through Airbnb. The two-bedroom apartment is part of a museum dedicated to the couple, who lived in the Cloverdale house from 1931 until 1932. They wrote portions of their respective novels, “Save Me the Waltz” and “Tender is the Night,” during their time here, and their young daughter, Scottie, also lived in this US home.

The two-bedroom apartment has a full kitchen and bath, and the master bedroom includes a queen-sized bed while the second bedroom has two single beds. There is a separate living room, dining room and sun porch, all with views of the sprawling magnolia tree on the front lawn. The apartment contains books and jazz albums, and there are cushions embroidered with Zelda’s famous sayings, including, “Those men think I’m purely decorative and they’re fools for not knowing better.”

During their stay, guests have access to a complimentary tour of the museum, the F. Scott & Zelda Fitzgerald Museum, which is located in the downstairs portion of the historic Craftsman-style home. It contains memorabilia and artifacts belonging to the famous literary couple, including their letters, first-edition books and 11 of Zelda’s paintings. The Airbnb rentals help to raise funds to support the nonprofit museum, which is a stop on the Southern Literary Trail.

Zelda was a native of Montgomery, and the couple hoped to settle on this 1910-built home after her first hospitalization for schizophrenia. This didn’t happen as they lived in several homes throughout their travels across the world, but it has become the only dedicated museum to the couple in the world.
