If you’re a young US resident and you’d like an extra incentive to vote in the 2018 midterm elections in the US – apart from fulfilling your civic duty, of course – how does the chance to win a free holiday sound? This opportunity will be given to one young person, as travel company Contiki is offering a free trip of a lifetime to encourage young voters to head to the polls.

The 2018 midterm elections will be held on 6 November and all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate will be contested. To be eligible to enter the competition, voters between the ages of 18 and 35 have to post a selfie on Instagram with their “I voted” sticker, and the #VoteWithNoRegrets hashtag. They must also follow and tag Contiki (@contiki) on Instagram.

The winner will be able to choose one of six prizes. These include a 14-night, multi-destination trip to Spain, Morocco, and Portugal; an eight-night trip to Cambodia and Laos; a seven-night trip to the Peruvian Highlands; an eight-night trip to southern New Zealand; a seven-night trip to Egypt; or airfare credit amounting to $1000 (€881) per person, which must be booked through Contiki). Entries must be submitted between 8 and 16 November, with the winner being announced on 19 November.
