Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran take fans around the world in the bonkers new music video for chart-topping single I Don’t Care.
Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran’s new single I Don’t Care is surging to the top spot in singles charts around the world. After days of teasing the visuals on Instagram, the pair finally released the music video this weekend and it’s undeniably bonkers. Featuring animated magic carpet rides, psychedelic seas and cats with laser eyes, the popstars are taken on a surreal trip around the world with the help of a greenscreen and Photoshop.
According to Sheeran’s Instagram, the pair shot the video in Los Angeles and Japan. Over changing background footage of a real and animated world, in blink-and-you’ll-miss-em scenes, the pair go on safari, trek through a jungle, dance in front of the pyramids of Giza and even take part in the encierro (running of the bulls) in Spain’s Fiesta de San Fermín. All while decked out in cowboy outfits, bathrobes and panda suits.
It probably won’t inspire your next trip but it’s highly likely that you won’t be able to escape the song no matter where you go this summer. I Don’t Care broke Spotify’s single-day streaming record on the day it was released, racking up 10.97 million streams. It’s being touted as 2019’s answer to Despacito with multiple publications marking it as a contender for ‘song of the summer’.
