While we reported earlier that Disneyland in California has upped its admission prices, the official website of Walt Disney World in Florida has also indicated that price increases are taking place there. It has posted its calendar of variable ticket prices online, and its one-day ticket price now costs from US$109 to US$159 (€96 to €140) depending on the day, when the upper price was previously US$129 (€114).

The most expensive prices will apply around popular dates like Christmas, New Year, Memorial Day and Easter. However, given the anticipation that surrounds the new Star Wars-themed resort, which is due to open on August 29, the hike is unlikely to have an adverse effect on visitors’ enthusiasm for the popular resort. According to Disney, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is going to be one of the most detailed and immersive lands ever created in Disney Parks’ history.

One-day Park Hopper tickets now cost between US$169 and US$219 (€149 and €193), when previously they cost between US164 and US$184 (€145 and €162), but those who are residents of Florida will only have to pay between US$139 and US$189 (€123 and €167). “Our flexible date-based ticket pricing reflects the demand we see for our parks and provides guests multiple options to meet their vacation needs,” says a Disney spokesperson. “As we invest in our parks and expand our offerings, we will continue to look for ways to manage high demand and spread attendance while preserving and enhancing the guest experience.”
