The internship of a lifetime will pay you to review flights and hotels around the world this summer

Most students get to stack shelves or flip burgers for the summer – in a cool location, if they’re lucky, but one lucky student or recent graduate is just about to land the internship of a lifetime. Based in the US, travel website, The Points Guy, is offering a paid summer internship reviewing flights, hotels, trains and more all around the world.

The successful candidate must be a current college student or have graduated in December 2018 or more recently. They must be a proficient writer who is skilled at social media and has photography and video experience and a fun and energetic video presence. Basic design knowledge is an advantage in terms of knowing different design features, and while the intern doesn’t need to be a world traveler, he or she must be culturally aware and curious and have an understanding of hotels, airplanes and general travel.

“The Travel and Rewards Intern will get to rate and review some of the best in travel, such as first class on Emirates or Cathay Pacific,” The Points Guy says. “They will also get to stay at some of the world’s top hotels from those on the Greek isles to ones at the heart of Singapore’s glistening skyline. And just to keep the intern down to earth, there will be occasional reviews of premium economy or dare we even say it, yes, coach.”

The successful candidate must be 21 or older to taste and review alcoholic drinks. They “must be able to tell apart Cristal from Korbel, while blindfolded, or at least be willing to learn,” according to the job spec. The intern will be required to share their experiences through written reviews with photos, videos and social media posts. In addition to compensation for the position, they will earn frequent flyer miles and hotel points enabling them to take a dream vacation at a later date.
