Our wanderlust was at an all-time high this year as we were introduced to some amazing Airbnbs in 2018. Here are some of the quirky, special and architecturally stunning ones around the world that we think should be high on your accommodation wishlist for 2019.

If you want to stay in one of the most coveted homes on Airbnb, look no further than Trullo Edera, a unique conical home in Ostuni, Italy. The home, which has seven cones on its roof, has made it onto numerous wish lists. Set in an elevated position with a stunning view. The Haunted Bedroom is one of 13 experiential rooms in Talliston House & Gardens that have been transformed into a wonderland of inspirational locations, each set in a different time and place. It recreates the 1911 Scottish bed chamber of a dead seven-year-old Edwardian child, and is complete with books and toys. It has been refurbished by an artist and includes themed bedrooms like the jungle room, the Romeo and Juliet room and an elegant burgundy room with a balcony and bistro set for morning coffee.
