The cheapest places to fly for a Memorial Day weekend getaway

By Adenekan

Memorial Day weekend is coming up soon, kicking off the summer season in the US. While staying home to barbecue on 27 May is an option, you could also hop on a plane and head somewhere truly exciting. Travel booking site Kayak has run the numbers and found the most affordable places for a weekend getaway, based on the median price for flights.

This waterfront city will allow visitors to explore the history along its harbours. It’s also the perfect place to try Maryland staples like crab cakes, steamed crabs, oysters and more. While it’s slightly more expensive than a trip to Hawaii, the median airfare is $225.
