There’s no doubt that travellers around the world want to spend a night in a treehouse, and now there’s a new opportunity outside Austin, Texas.
ArtisTree built the first treehouse resort in Austin at Cypress Valley and has now added an incredible new house to its roster that will take childhood dreams of a treehouse to new levels. The new addition to the eco-luxury retreat, called Yoki House, is a 50 sq ft private treehouse held between two old-growth bald cypress trees. The minimalist design uses local and sustainable materials like elm, cypress and spruce and it hangs in the trees 25 ft above a spring-fed creek.
Guests enter the treehouse through a second-story observation deck and can travel down a spiral staircase to the front porch, which is perfect for relaxing and bird-watching. Inside, there are plenty of large windows so visitors can stay connected to nature even when they are ready for bed.
But this is no rustic children’s treehouse – the accommodation even also has a separate bathhouse that is connected by a 60 ft suspension bridge. Once you walk across, you’ll find that inside there is an onsen-style soaking tub, where guests can enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows and look out over a ravine and even birdwatch or stargaze from the soaking tub.
According to ArtisTree: “Yoki House is the perfect haven for writers to gain clarity, entrepreneurs to think freely, and artist to express themselves audaciously”. Or, if you just want to spend your holiday soaking up all the joy of a treehouse made for adults, make a reservation here.
