Early-bird complementary passes to Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy Edge sold out within two hours of going live on Thursday. If you missed out, don’t despair – there’s still a chance to snap up coveted early-bird passes through one of the resort’s hotels.

Early-bird passes went on sale on Thursday at 10am (PCT) and sold out within two hours. It grants fans access to Star Wars: Galaxy Edge ahead of everyone else, in timed visits, between 29 May and 23 June. If you missed out, you could wait until 24 June when the attraction opens to the wider public. But if you can’t wait that long, you can still get early-bird access if you book a stay in one of the resort’s hotels between 29 May and 23 June. Anyone staying at one of Disneyland Resort hotels during that time will get a designated reservation. Valid park admission is required, and guests will receive one Star Wars land entry per guest on the reservation for the duration of their stay.

Star Wars: Galaxy Edge is one of the most anticipated theme park attractions this year with a matching Star Wars “land” scheduled to open in Disney World Orlando in August. Both lands will feature attractions like the Imperial Star Destroyer, where roughly 50 animatronic stormtroopers await in formation. On another, guests will be able to pilot an interactive Millennium Falcon.

If you’re planning to visit this summer note that reservations will not be required to visit the California Star Wars land from 24 June and the Florida Star Wars land when it opens on 29 August. A valid theme park admission is required, however, and capacity is limited. The parks will introduce a virtual queuing system to manage crowds with details expected to be released on Disneyland.com and Disneyworld.com at a later date.
