An immersive Game of Thrones rave is coming to East London, where partygoers will mix with White Walkers, former cast members and dance to tunes spun by Kristian Nairn, the actor who plays Hodor in the HBO fantasy series.
On Friday 26 April, the Electric Brixton will be transformed into a mini Westeros, complete with White Walkers, sword battles, a light show, fire dancing, a (fake) blizzard and the Iron Throne. There’ll also be appearances by, what the venue promises, are very convincing Daenerys and Jon Snow lookalike actors.
One Game of Thrones star who will be there in person is Northern Irish actor Kristian Nairn (Hodor) who is headline DJ on the night, playing a mix of progressive house and dance, while musical performances will come from acts like My Friend, Goldierocks, Laura Pradelska and Muzz Khan.

“The Master Of Coin has decreed that the party, dubbed the ‘Rave Of Thrones’, should be a fully immersive experience, turning the grand theatrical and infamous hall of ‘Brixton’ to the perfect abode for a knee’s up of monumental proportions,” organisers said in a statement. “The party to end all parties will be helmed by a suitably strong and valiant performer, Westeros’ giant of the north HODOR (Kristian Nairn).”
Full details of the night are yet to be confirmed, but guests can expect sword fights, light shows and plenty of fire and ice throughout the evening. There are also meet-and-greets planned with former cast members of the show and it’s open to all (over 18) whether you support the Lannisters or the Starks, as the organisers promise: “This is a safe and inclusive party for all walks of life, from any house and no previously existing feuds between families of Westeros can be brought within the walls of the ‘Rave of Thrones’.”
There are plans to tour Rave of Thrones to other UK cities like Manchester, Bristol and Leeds, although dates and details have yet to be announced.
The immersive ‘Rave of Thrones’ event, which has no official affiliation with the HBO show, will coincide with the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones which is due to premiere on HBO on 14 April and Sky Atlantic on 15 April.
The event kicks off at 10pm and runs until 5am the following morning. Early Bird and First Release tickets are sold out but guests can purchase Second Release tickets at £22.50 (€25.60) and Second Tier Group Tickets for £65 (€74) through Eventbrite.
