If you’re a fan of American comedy-drama television series Gilmore Girls, you may appreciate the opportunity to have Christmas lunch at Lorelai and Rory’s house in Stars Hollow.
We can’t promise that the food was whipped up by Sookie or that it comes from Luke’s diner, but there will be plenty of holiday-themed food to enjoy during the event, Holiday Lunch at Lorelai’s. Gilmore Girls ran from 2000 to 2007 and and focused on the adorable relationship between single mother Lorelai, played by Lauren Graham, and her daughter Rory, played by Alexis Bledel.
They lived in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut, which was populated by a host of charming, quirky and funny characters, and the series has now become a cult classic. It returned for a four-part miniseries revival in 2016, called Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, which streamed on Netflix.
Warner Bros. recently launched a new general studio tour in Burbank, California. Once you reach the end of your tour at Stage 48: Script to Screen, you can enjoy the sights of Lorelai’s decorated house and can even take a photo in the gazebo. Authentic props and costumes will be on display, and a holiday spread and a selection of beverages is available for purchase, right in Lorelai’s backyard.
Running from 22 December to 6 January, the menu will include oven-roasted turkey breast with cranberry-shallot sauce, lemon-garlic roasted chicken, veggie burgers, fries, home-style macaroni salad, garlic-buttered corn and salads.
