The Empire State Building in New York City tops the list. This is no surprise as the views from its 86th floor outdoor deck and 102nd floor indoor deck are spectacular. Located on the site of the original Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, the 1454-foot-high behemoth opened in 1931, and since 1976, the building’s top 30 floors have been floodlit in a spectrum of colours each night, reflecting seasonal and holiday hues.

The Empire State Building was followed in second place by Freedom Tower in Miami, and CN Tower in Toronto came in third place. Rounding up the top ten was 4. Arc de Triomphe, 5. Eiffel Tower, 6. Burj Khalifa, 7. Buckingham Palace, 8. Disneyland, 9. Golden Gate Bridge and 10. Sydney Opera House.

Other findings from the report include that one traveller took Uber rides in 126 cities this year alone. The three countries that clocked the most mileage were the US, Brazil and India – but people didn’t stick to traditional rides. More than 4.1 million miles ridden were on Jump bikes and scooters. Uber also delivers food and when it came to the trendiest foods of 2018, the top five were found to be toast, avocado, Goth food, cucumber and wings.
