If so, you’ll enjoy the tale of how Twitter became intrigued with the story of a Mississippi woman searching for her childhood holiday cruise friend, and rowed in to help reunite the pair successfully.

Brianna Cry, 19, posted a photo of herself and another young girl on Twitter and asked for help finding her, explaining that they had met on a cruise in Hawaii in 2006 and had hit it off. “We were basically best friends for that night so I need y’all to help me find my best friend cause I miss her and I need to see how she’s doing now,” she said. “Please retweet this so we can be reunited.”
It took eleven hours and 121k retweets for the mystery to be solved, and everyone was delighted when Heidi Tran, a Vietnamese student living in California made contact, saying, “I heard you were looking for me.” Heidi tweeted a photo showing herself holding a holiday photo from the same trip as proof of her identity. While Twitter users were thrilled at the success of the mission and were hoping that the women could meet up in person, Heidi revealed that she wasn’t in a financial position to afford the trip as she is attending community college on financial aid.

However, she revealed that she and Brianna are now talking via private message, so the outcome has been a good one around social media reuniting these two best holiday friends.
