The vacation rental site, which offers up unique places to stay like cabins, castles, villas and more, has found that a number of unique destinations have seen interest grow dramatically over the last year.
Hocking Hills, Ohio
Right near the beautiful Hocking Hills State Park, this area has seen a 130% increase in demand for rentals in the past year and a huge increase of 375% interest over the past three years. Those who book a stay in this beautiful Appalachian region will have a base to explore the beauty of the park. There they can explore Ash Cave, the largest recess cave in Ohio, or visit a number of waterfalls that can be found through the forest. It’s sure to be a popular spot with adventure travel lovers, as visitors can also canoe, kayak, camp, hike and even zip line.
Newton County, Arkansas
Located close to the beautiful Ozark National Forest, this area has seen a 130% increase in interest in the last year. The area is home to plenty of old-growth forests and visitors can explore along the Ozark Highlands Trail, which is the longest in the forest at 165 miles. Much like Hocking Hills, it’s a good spot for travellers who want to take part in activities like horseback riding, biking, hiking and more.
Loudoun County, Virginia
With its location near Washington DC, and a burgeoning winery scene, Loudoun County has seen an increase of 105% demand. The area is a quick drive from the capital, making it a popular getaway for anyone in the city. Beyond all the wineries, there are also plenty of breweries and distilleries in the region.
