June is set to be a bumper month for new transatlantic routes with at least six new connections between the USA and some of Europe’s most exciting cities, among others.
Miami to Warsaw
This connection with LOT Polish Airlines will be hugely convenient for visitors who want to fly directly into the heart of Eastern Europe. As well as the option of exploring Poland’s capital city, they can also carry on their journey with the same carrier to Budapest, Prague, Kiev or Tel-Aviv. The service will run four times a week starting 1 June.
Las Vegas to Amsterdam
The two legendary party cities will finally be served by a direct KLM flight, starting 6 June. Initially the route will fly twice a week, going up to three times weekly on 2 July. It will run up until October. Flight-time will clock in between ten and eleven hours.
Philadelphia to Bologna
The first of American Airline’s new transatlantic connections with Philadelphia will run between 6 June and 28 September. It will be the only North American airport to be connected with Bologna, and will fly four times a week.
Philadelphia to Dubrovnik
Another first North American direct connection for Philadelphia, this time to Dubrovnik. Starting 7 June, it will also run three times a week until late September and will surely be of interest to many fans hunting for Game of Thrones locations now that the series has ended.
San Francisco to Lisbon
Flying five times a week, this new route comes courtesy of TAP Air Portugal and starts 10 June. As well as being between two sought-after destinations, it will also be flying with the new Airbus 330neo.
Boston to Casablanca
Royal Air Maroc is adding a fourth North American connection on 22 June, connecting Casablanca with Boston three times a week with flights scheduled all the way up to June 2020. It will be Massachusetts’ first non-stop flight to mainland Africa.
Munich to Bangkok
Sunexpress launches a daily route from 3 June between Munich and Bangkok. The service will continue into the winter schedule but will be taken over by Eurowings in late October.
