See the Smoky Mountains from the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the US

By Adenekan

Travellers in Tennessee will have a new chance to test their mettle when the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America opens this month.

The new SkyBridge is located in Gatlinburg in the Great Smoky Mountains, crossing 680-feet across a deep valley. The bridge is located at the Gatlinburg SkyLift, an attraction that takes visitors 500-feet up to get incredible views of the Smokies.

Now, new attractions are opening to make the whole experience more amazing. On 17 May, the new SkyDeck and SkyBridge will allow guests to get out and explore – so long as they can brave the heights. Visitors will be allowed to walk across the bridge – at their own pace – and then take in the scenery on the deck and stroll across the bridge. If you’re afraid of heights, consider that the bridge – which has a height of 140 feet in the middle – has a glass-floor panel in the middle.

The bridge will give travellers a chance to look over the incredible scenery and may inspire many to go explore Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which is the most visited in the US.
