Late night superstar Jimmy Kimmel is famous for his sharp sense of humour and well-honed stagecraft, having spent years working in comedy and interviewing some of the world’s most well-known actors, musicians and entertainers. And now, visitors to Las Vegas can pay a visit to his very own comedy club, due to open next month with special performances from diverse guests.
Created in partnership with Caesars Entertainment, Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club at The LINQ Promenade will officially open on 2 May. The launch will see special performances by Harland Williams, Beth Stelling and Fahim Anwar, among others. May and June will also see John Heffron, Beth Stelling and Gina Brillon making appearences. With a bar that opens daily from 4pm, the comedy club will aim host comedic performances from Thursday to Sunday at 8pm, with additional shows at 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
“Building a club like this in my hometown is a dream come true. I’ve done extensive research, consulting with veteran comics to create the ideal venue for comedians and comedy lovers. My aim is to capture the spirit of classic Vegas with late night shows, surprise guests, live music, memorabilia from my career and food that will rival the finest restaurants in town. Every comic who plays this club will get first-class treatment. I am obsessing over every detail to make this the most comedy-friendly club in the world,” Jimmy Kimmel said.
The club will host comedians ranging from household names to newer up-and-coming talent, all curated by Jimmy Kimmel and his team. The dual-level 8000-square-foot venue has an expandable showroom that seats up to 300 guests. More special guest performers are due to be announced later in the year.
More information on tickets is available at the official Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club website.
