Originally opened in 1935, the Californian property was the first hotel designed by master architect Albert Frey. This makes it a key attraction for architecture lovers and those wanting to delve in to Palm Springs’ rich modernist design history. With this in mind, the hotel has been renovated to remain true to the hotel’s mid-century modern heritage and design.

Albert Frey’s original ‘two-story townhouses’ have been recast as duplex suites featuring warm woods, vibrant colours, modernist furnishings and private terraces. The boutique hotel is located at the edge of the famous Movie Colony neighbourhood. This positions it nicely for those looking to discover the old Hollywood charm of the area where the former vacation houses of A-list stars such as Cary Grant and Tony Curtis were located.
Situated beside the city’s vibrant downtown, guests can easily explore local restaurants, bars, galleries and stores. The boutique hotel has a pool that offers views of the San Jacinto Mountains. It also has a courtyard where guests can enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast each morning and drinks from the patio bar in the evening.
