Diners looking to sample all the food Dubai has to offer – without wandering too far – will get that chance in 2020 as a new Time Out Market opens in the city.

Time Out Market may be familiar to travellers who have been to Lisbon, where the historic Mercado da Ribeira was transformed into a trendy food hall that’s been a hit with locals and travellers. In 2018, the market saw 3.9 million visitors and it remains one of the city’s top attractions, hosting stalls that serve up budget-friendly meals from the country’s top chefs, including some who have earned Michelin stars.
Five new Time Out Markets are already announced to be opening in 2019 in Miami, New York, Boston, Chicago and Montréal, meaning more people around the world will get to try out the concept. Now, those openings will be followed by Dubai in 2020, London-Waterloo in 2021 and Prague in 2022.

The new Time Out Market will open in one of Dubai’s most visited attractions, Souk Al Bahar, a retail, entertainment and dining complex in Downtown Dubai. The souk is located on Burj Lake, next to the Dubai Mall and the iconic Burj Khalifa, making it already popular with visitors.
The market will bring together 16 of Dubai’s top chefs and restaurateurs, three lounges and cultural experiences. Covering about 30,000 square-feet, there will be about 670 seats for guests to hang out and enjoy the food on offer.
