Hawaiian Airlines has launched its Honolulu to Boston flight, which has become the longest domestic flight in the US.
The flight will take nearly ten hours when heading to Boston from Honolulu, and about 11.5 when leaving from Boston in the morning and arriving in Honolulu in the afternoon.

The five-times-a-week flight will give travellers in Boston – and around New England – a flight to the warm paradise of Hawai’i. According to Hawaiian, Boston was the largest market in the US without a direct flight to Hawai’i, so the new route is likely to be welcomed by travellers who want to break up the long New England winter with a trip to the islands.

But it will also give residents of Hawai’i a chance to travel to Boston and the flight is aimed at supporting business, as the two states share a seafood industry – nearly one-and-a-half tons of live lobster were on the inaugural flight. The flight connects Honolulu’s Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).
The 5095-mile flight will be the longest regularly-scheduled interstate route in US history, according to the airline.
