Travellers can journey deeper into some of the most remote parts of the world with Silversea’s first ever Expedition World Cruise. Setting sail from Ushuaia, Argentina in 2021, the six-month cruise offers guests a range of once-in-a-lifetime experiences across 30 countries before completing the journey in Tromsø, Norway.
The Expedition World Cruise 2021 – or the Uncharted World Tour – will journey to 107 ports in six months. Departing from Ushuaia, Argentina on 30 January, 2021 on board the 254-passenger Silversea Cloud, the luxury cruise will complete its journey in Tromsø, Norway on 16 July.
Unlocking a number of bespoke and bucket-list experiences along the way, guests will enjoy a private dinner on London Tower Bridge’s walkway and an exclusive Viking feast in Kjarnaskogur Forest in Iceland. They’ll meet the descendants of the famous Bounty Mutineers in Pitcairn after spending two days on Easter Island; explore the Unesco World Biosphere reserves of Robinson Crusoe Island and Isla Alejandro Selkirk; swim with rays in Bora Bora and unwind in Aitutaki Lagoon in the Cook Islands. Almost 60% of the destinations will be remote and accessed by Zodiac inflatable boats.
Several expert speakers will join the voyage, offering workshops and lectures and accompanying shore excursions, including Felicity Aston MBE (the first and only woman to cross Antarctica alone), Tim Severin (explorer and gold medalist of the Royal Geographical and Scottish Geographical Societies) and Jo Ruxton (co-founder of the Plastic Oceans Foundation).
Conrad Combrink, Silversea’s senior vice president of Expeditions and Destination Experiences, said: “the Expedition World Cruise 2021 has been specially crafted to unlock the world’s most amazing deep travel experiences for our guests… [who] will travel around the world like no others before them, enjoying the superlative comfort of Silver Cloud and the expertise of our onboard team.”
Prices start from £77,000 (€89,643/$101,241), sailing from 30 January, 2021 to 16 July, 2021. To see the full itinerary or to book a suite, visit here.
