Do you know an inspiring teacher who could really use some time off to relax and recharge? Norwegian Cruise Line is recognising the hard work of America’s educators by treating 15 of them to a free cruise this spring.

To celebrate Norwegian Joy’s upcoming debut in North America, Norwegian Cruise Line is seeking nominations for educators who are “spreading the joy of learning” in their classrooms. It’s part of the cruise line’s Giving Joy campaign which was developed to recognise and reward educators in the US and Canada.
The 15 teachers with the most votes will win a seven-day cruise for two on board the Norwegian Joy, which boasts impressive attractions like an outdoor race track, an Aqua Park, two pools, six infinity hot tubs, and a whole host of restaurants, cafés and bars. This year, the ship will sail from the West Coast year-round to Alaska, the Mexican Riviera, the Pacific Coast, and the Panama Canal.
You can nominate a teacher from now until 12 April, 2019. As well as the seven-day cruise, the winning teachers will also be provided airfare and accommodation for an award ceremony taking place in Seattle on 3 May, 2019, where they will have the chance to win US$15,000 for their school.
“Travel is a powerful means of education. It brings people closer to each other and to diverse cultures around the world,” said Andy Stuart, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line in a statement. “Through our Norwegian Cruise Line Giving Joy campaign, we celebrate the power of education and travel, and reward teachers who have taken responsibility for our future, our children, and who lean into that responsibility with all they’ve got.”
