If you’re in a long-distance relationship or even if you want to meet up with friends who live elsewhere, a new tool has been launched that can help you find somewhere to vacation together. After all, meeting up with loved ones can be an expensive business when you don’t live in the same city, so help can be needed to make the path to true love, or great friendship, flow smoothly.
To help people connect with their partners, friends or family, travel search engine Kayak has just debuted its new “Rendezvous” tool. This is a search facility that examines combined tickets costs to provide the cheapest destinations for long-distance couples or friends to meet. The idea it to make planning your getaway easy, even though you’re coming from two different parts of the world, or in some cases, even the opposite parts of a country.
You simply enter both of your home cities and travel dates into the tool, and it will suggest suitable and affordable destinations for you to meet. The idea was inspired by research that indicated that 28% of Americans have been in a long-distance relationship, and of that number, 53% have stayed together. With Valentine’s Day approaching, this tool could be useful to lovers parted by distance, as the cheaper the flights, the more often they could potentially meet.

The site will give you the chosen destinations in order of expense, so you can choose from a variety of options beginning with the least expensive. If you would like to test the Rendezvous tool out for yourself, you can access it here.
