Fans of the Zootopia should get excited at Disney’s latest news; the movie is getting its very own dedicated land at its park in China.
The new land in Shanghai will be the first in the world dedicated to Zootopia. While it was hugely successful worldwide, it’s did particularly well in China, becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time upon its release. Zootopia-themed merchandise and games have already done really well in the country, leading park officials to take the plunge on creating an immersive land.
The film’s main characters Judy and Nick are already meeting and greeting guests at resorts around the world but lots more animal characters will be joining them at the new land. There will also be a new attraction where you can accompany the heroes on a new adventure, as well as plenty of new entertainment and some exclusive new food and drink options.
Shanghai Disneyland has only been open since June 2016 but has already become the fastest-growing Disney property in the world. It was expanded already last year with the addition of a Toy Story Land.
The resort has also just announced the launch of its first Annual Pass with three separate tiers; one that will grant you access any day of the year, another for most weekdays and Sunday and another just for Sundays. As well as offering a cost-effective way for guests to visit the park frequently throughout the year, Annual Pass holders can also avail of discounts on dining, merchandise, resort stays and shows and some early entry days to beat the crowds.
