Disney’s Riviera Resort is now accepting reservations for rooms in December 2019. The new Florida resort is opening at Walt Disney World, and is designed to “immerse guests in the grandeur and enchantment of the European Riviera”.
While many people might think a trip to Disney World is all about indulging your youthful side, the new resort is set to bring “old-world glamor” to travellers staying at the park. It will feature a palm tree-lined boulevard, porticos, cascading water features, towers and terraces. There will be about 300 vacation homes, with deluxe studios, one- and two-bedroom villas, and grand villas that sleep up to 12 guests each. There’s also a new style of rooms, tower-studios that include a private balcony for two.

The resort will also feature a new restaurant called Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera, named after Topolino, the Italian name for Mickey Mouse. While the food will focus on French and Italian cuisine, the restaurant will also offer views of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Guests at the resort will also be able to travel on the new gondola system – Disney Skyliner – to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
The resort’s opening date will be announced later, but in the meantime, anyone interested can contact 407-W-Disney (934-7639) to make reservations, or visit DisneysRivieraResort.com to learn more.
