Soar above the Las Vegas strip like a superhero with its first zip line

By Adenekan

You can’t visit Vegas without exploring the bright lights of the Las Vegas Strip. Now a new attraction wants to give you a new perspective on the famous boulevard with some added thrills too.

The attraction is the Strips’s first zipline. Photo by Pat Gray/ kabikphotogroup.com

Located at the Linq Promenade, the Fly Linq opened on 1 January with a team of superheroes making the inaugural flight. At 12 storeys high, there are ten zip lines running 340 metres in total, allowing big groups to race each other which is bound to be a draw for Las Vegas’ frequent stag and hen parties. It’s the first and only zipline where you can take in incredible views of the Strip.

In under a minute, you’ll zoom from one tower to another, right across the promenade. You can choose to travel in the more traditional seat position or, for ten extra dollars, travel in the ‘superhero’ pose and live out all your comic book dreams. If you haven’t had enough of heights just yet, you’ll be disembarking near the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel. It’s no accident; the team behind the wheel are also responsible for the zipline.

The attraction opens up at 11.30am every day and run until midnight most nights and until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Prices start from US$25 (€21) but after 5pm it goes up to $30 (€26) if you want to have the experience of soaring above the famous lights of the Las Vegas Strip. Tickets will also be cheaper if you purchase online beforehand.
